Put Kids First

I am incredibly happy to have contributed with this artwork for Ourkidsclimate (www.ourkidsclimate.org) to promote an important consultation that is taking place right now on children's environmental rights.

From Ourkidsclimate's post:
"Children make up almost one-third of the world’s population. They have the right to live in a clean, healthy, and sustainable environment.

They should be able to attend school, have access to nutritious food and clean water, enjoy good health, and grow and play in a safe world.

Yet the climate crisis poses an immense and unprecedented threat to all our children.

The United Nations Committee on the Rights of the Child is currently creating guidance on how children’s rights are impacted by the climate and environmental crisis and what governments must do to uphold these rights.

They want this guidance to be shaped by children and young people, especially from communities most impacted.

The current draft guidance is based on the contributions of 7,416 children from 103 countries.

The UN wants to hear what children and young people under 17 think of this guidance.

Head to the link in the bio to find out more and how to participate.
The guidance from The United Nations Committee on the Rights of The Child is set to be published later this year.
